Destiny: Eris bounty walk through “Out of Sight”

Awesome here. I was talking to my good friend Kyle last night. He also plays Destiny, but because he is a family man he doesn’t play near as much as I do. So he was asking me for advice on how to do some destiny power leveing. I, naturally, told him the easiest way to do the bounty. He then suggested I make a video and share my knowledge with you fine folks on the interwebs and whatnots. So I am starting a series of Eris Bounty walk throughs. My goal here is to explain, and show, how to beat the missions in under two minutes. I don’t want to waste your time and the bounties are not “Hard” once you know where to go and what to do. So here goes. The first on in the series is the: Out of Sight Bounty.

Destiny’s Crota Boss Fight Beaten in Just 61 Seconds

Without cheating or manipulating any of the game’s content, a new world record may have been set in Destiny for defeating the “Crota’s End” boss.
With clever use of teamwork, a few Gjallarhorn rocket launchers, and two swords at the same time, this six man group took out Crota in an astounding 61 seconds – close to half the usual time it takes to kill him in the fastest runs we’ve seen. Check out the video below to see the game’s biggest boss die in a flash.

Here are the specifics:
We can assume, though it’s not completely clear in the video, that everyone here has a Gjallarhorn as their Exotic weapon. It’s also certain that they come fully loaded for this video – so if you want to do it, bring an ammo pack. The operative difference between this kill and others is that as they leave their door, they simply rush at the sword bearer. Killing this unit before the spawn of those in the door behind him allows for a second sword bearer to run into the battle. Armed with two swords, the other four members of the fight take on Crota with their Gjallarhorns, and as he falls twice, the fight ends in just over one minute.
This requires an extreme amount of precision, but if it can be done by this group, surely you can do it too. We give it til next week before someone posts an under-a-minute kill. Here’s a video for the previous record, if you’re looking to do it with just one sword – it’s a lengthy 90 seconds or so, not that anybody has time for that.

2014 My Game, My Destiny

2014 is coming to an end, and this year we went through a lot, but fate has also released a new version of a year to stay with the people, and bring you happiness. Now this is my summary of the 2014 my idea of destiny.

QQ图片20141227094340

Remember the loot cave? Of course you do. If you loved Destiny, it was your guilty pleasure. If you hated Destiny, it was your smoking gun. Everyone agreed that it laid bare the way Destiny is underpinned by a mixture of grinding and randomness. The difference is that those of us who loved the game simply enjoyed the novelty of tipping things in our favour, however briefly, before returning to our other satisfying routines.

1

Hey Xander, what’s new?
It was rote and mechanical, but it was a simple pleasure for a ton of reasons. Just being there was one. Destiny may have had less of a story than “That’s Not My Train”, to pick at random from my son’s reading list, but it had beautifully storied environments that I enjoyed revisiting. I loved the abandoned cargo planes in Old Russia’s Mothyards, cast aside indifferently as mankind scrambled to the heavens using patchwork rockets like the one in Devils’ Lair. And I could really lose myself on the Moon, with its perfect 1969 lighting, whether staring into the green soup of the Hellmouth or up at passing satellites.

2
I’ll always have a soft spot for the Moon.
Destiny had those other moments too. For a lot of people they come in The Crucible, which was ‘just’ Halo multiplayer with a loot table (never mind “shared world shooter” – that sounds like the elevator pitch), while for people like me it was banding together with friends and putting the fruits of our grind to work in more competitive PVE settings. Heroic and Nightfall Strikes emphasised self-preservation, then the Vault of Glass Raid layered on strict co-operation. All that knowledge and muscle memory we accumulated ticking off bounties, beacons and shards gave us a platform to really compete. The way these hardcore activities would fit into what is otherwise a very casual whole – and in a way most people either didn’t notice or didn’t care – was one of Destiny’s best tricks.

3

The Dark Below’s Raid, Crota’s End, was also good, but the Vault of Glass will always have a special place in our hearts.

Thank you for accompanying 2014, we will continue to bring you a better destiny power leveling

Destiny Hope Everyone Touched By A Christmas Festivity For December 26 To 28

Christmas is coming, In advance I wish you all a Merry Christmas.

but we are still expecting Xur to turn up in a new spot in the tower this week. Destiny’s Xur location on December 26 is going to have a Christmas theme and we are wondering if Bungie has any special plans in store for players.

xur-christmas-location-destiny

By this we mean some Christmas items when Xur shows up that will be limited exclusives. Imagine if we see Xur’s new items this week include some Christmas gear which will transform the way players look for a few days only.

We would love to see it happen, although equally as happy if Xur finally offers the Icebreaker for sale. Last week we had the Patience and Time of course, which was a welcome change from what we’ve seen so far.

Most will agree though, that the Icebreaker or the Gjallarhorn are the two weapons which players want to see from Xur, so let’s see if Bungie will offer them as a Christmas surprise by deliberately influencing Xur’s RNG wares.

Remember that Xur will appear at 1am Pacific Time, or 4am Eastern Time in the US. That means for those in the UK, Xur spawn on December 26 will happen at 9am UK on Boxing Day.

We hope players enjoy a great Christmas. If you are excited about seeing Xur on Boxing Day, let us know where you think he will be and what you want to sell this week for Christmas.

8 Helpful Tips for Destiny Players

The Destiny Public Beta began on July 17, 2014 for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 platforms, before going offline for maintenance on July 21 and 22. On July 22, maintenance was completed ahead of schedule, and the Beta became available for Xbox 360 and Xbox One platforms, which were originally scheduled to gain access on July 23. On July 24, 2014, Bungie opened the Beta for free download to all players on all platforms, with no code redemption necessary. The Beta officially closed on July 27 at 6:30pm PDT. After the Beta, Destiny is scheduled to launch on September 9, 2014 everywhere outside Japan, where it will be released on September 11, 2014 and only for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.

I put together some quick tips to help get you started for Destiny Beta, and now is the following:

Quick Tips for Destiny Beta

How to avoid taking damage

In the early missions, enemy fire is slow moving, but doesn’t follow a straight trajectory. Constant movement is the best way to minimise damage taken during the small skirmishes. Popping in and out of cover is the most effective way to take out the small groups of Vandals, Dregs and other foes you’ll encounter along the way.
What’s the most effective way to kill enemies?

Try and stay as far away as possible from enemies, picking them off at range before switching to your alternate weapon to clean up any who come too close for comfort. It’s important to carry one long and one short range weapon, keeping you well equipped for all possibilities.

Some of the enemies will be melee-focused, and swarm on you in packs of up to four, so keep both guns loaded between the fights so you aren’t caught by a sudden onslaught.

How do I upgrade my equipment?

Return to the Tower after every mission to upgrade your weapons, armour and unlock whatever new items are available. Destiny has a good waypoint system and will alert you to any merchants or other NPCs who are in need of interaction to unlock new goodies.
When should I spend my Glimmer?

Glimmer is Destiny’s currency, and is worth stockpiling in the early parts of the game as you’ll be unlocking a ton of items that’ll quickly improve your stats, a la Borderlands. Once the loot drops start withering out, then start putting your Glimmer to good use with the merchants.
How to get headshots

It sounds pretty obvious, but headshots do far more damage than damage anywhere else. It’s actually pretty easy to get headshots on the low-level enemies, thanks to their slow movement. Keep aiming high to help whittle down packs and focus on the Captains and other leaders.
How many people can I join in co-op?

Campaign missions allow you to link up with a couple of friends and take them on as a group of three. Tackling missions as a group certainly makes things more interesting, and communication is always a benefit, so ideally find friends who have a mic.
How to complete missions

A few of the early missions end in a heated battle with either a large number of Vandals, Dregs and other low level foes, or one giant behemoth and a few minions, make sure you go into the end game well prepared.

Take a pause before approaching the closing objective to make sure your powers or grenades are recharged, you’re fully reloaded on all weapons and take a note of the terrain. Find good cover spots and make sure you aren’t cornered.
Multiplayer tips

Keep checking your equipment, as you can rotate armour to improve your overall defence and swap weapons around too.

For your alternate weapon, if you choose the sniper rifle or other guns that require special ammo, you’ll need to collect it from the boxes littered around the map in order to use them. These caches usually don’t stock much ammo, so try and grab a couple between runs to the domination points.

Whenever you come across the large, tank-like vehicle, jump in. At present, it feels a little overpowered, and may well be balanced in the near future. Right now, it offers great protection and fires lightning-fast rockets that are guaranteed to net you a handful of kills. It’s also small enough to drive to B and C and capture without getting out. Just make sure you keep your eyes peeled for any approaching enemies and be mindful of nearby turrets.

Destiny Enemies Preview: Fallen, Vex, Cabal, Hive

Destiny Enemies-Fallen

Fallen
The Fallen are four armed aliens who are also sworn enemies of the human race. Bungie has quoted them as being “a nomadic race of once noble houses now scattered to the solar winds”. Fallen are hardy creatures who can survive in a wide range of environments without heavy armor or complex modifications to their physiology.

Vex

Vex
The Vex are a species of time-traveling robots vetted against humans. Vex are mass-produced machine units, constructed of an unknown metal alloy resembling hammered brass.

Cabal

Cabal
Cabal’s are a Juggernaut of a species, outfitted with thick armor and powerful weapons. Enemies of the human race, they inhabit the Exclusion Zone on Mars. They are a professional military operation.

Hive

Hive
The Hive have been referred to as “space zombies”, this leads us to believe they can infect other species. The Hive have carved a kingdom deep into the lifeless core of the Moon, and it is there they remain, silent and buried among many dark and terrible secrets.

Destiny Guide:How to kill the Devil Walker

Refer to:http://www.destiny-store.com/news/game-Destiny-1989/Destiny-GuideHow-to-kill-the-Devil-Walker-13886

The Devil Walker is a Fallen vehicle that acompanies packs of Fallen. They have strong armour and equally strong weapons making it difficult to take them down alone. It can be seen in action in the E3 demo.

Destiny Devil Walker

This is laughably easy with a good crew. First, keep behind cover and pick off the smaller enemies – watch out for the Fallen Captains.

Each of you should then take up a position far from your teammates. Facing the Devil Walker from the entrance to this area, good spots are behind the large pillar on the left; in the tunnel on the far right; and in the horizontal tunnel behind a bank of earth right in the middle. The Devil Walker will be constantly turning to face its most dangerous target of the moment, who ought already to be in retreat, giving the other two Guardians time to strike.

You’ll need a long range weapon. Keep your distance, and stay mobile. The boss has two major attacks you need to watch. If his turret lights up blue, move away. If a red targeting laser comes anywhere near you, leg it. (Remember; sprinting will cancel reload actions, and hitting reload or scope will cancel you out of a double jump much faster.) Both of these attacks do splash damage so really put some space between you and the projectiles. The two side positions need to back off further between attacks as they’re more exposed. Just shoot, get behind cover while the Devil Walker fires, rinse and repeat.

You need to shoot the Devil Walker on the legs; it takes very little damage anywhere else. If you shoot one leg enough to break off its armour, the Devil Walker will fall down and its case will open, exposing its vulnerable core. (If you don’t do this, you can still win – it just takes a lot longer.) The two Guardians on the sides should charge in and unleash supers and grenades; if you have a Hunter with you, it’s best if they stay in the central spot, because they can use their super to snipe – it’s easiest to hit from the left bank. Unarmoured legs are not worth shooting, so change targets when you’ve knocked one leg out.

When the field fills with enemies, retreat to someplace entirely safe from the Devil Walker and take them out, then return to continue hammering the boss.

If you run out of ammo check the puddle in front of the Devil Walker’s stage, and the stage itself, where plenty of downed Shanks should provide ammo drops. If the Devil Walker is firing or about to fire at a teammate you can usually nip in and grab some ammo, then go on the lam before you’re hit. If you keep running out of ammo, consider buying some ammo refill packs at the Tower before setting out, or use a slower, heavier weapon.

When the Devil Walker finally falls, the door behind it opens and a number of Fallen Dregs and Vandals will flood out. Don’t let them take you by surprise; this is a hot spot for first timers to party wipe.

Destiny Beta Character Progress Will Not Carry Over to Full Game

If you’ve participated in the Destiny beta, hopefully you liked it enough to play through that content again, because whatever progress you’ve made will not carry over to the full game once it’s released.

Destiny Beta Progress Will Not Carry Over to Full Game

“Since the Beta, we’ve continued to tune and adjust the game,” Bungie designer Tyson Green said on the developer’s website. “The way you earn experience has been adjusted up and down a bunch of times. Items have been added and removed. New features toggled. Although there’s no single monumental change, the sum of the tweaks leaves characters from the Beta Build in strange shape that would be confusing at best, broken at worst.”

Last month, Bungie was still debating whether or not it will wipe character data after the beta. “It’s extremely unknown as to what the outcome will be,” Bungie community manager David “Deej” Dague said at the time. “So, it’s certainly not a promise or an announcement that we’re making at this time. It all depends on what we learn and how things shake out.”

Unfortunately, Bungie learned players will have to start over, but on the bright side, the beta only allowed them to play up to Level 8.
